Welcome!

     This site is an invitation for you to join us on a 9 day trip to Europe of Martin Luther and the world famous Passion Play in Obergammergau, Germany on September 9 - 17, 2010 with a group from Moline in the Quad Cities. We will be leaving and returning from Chicago, Illinois.

Brief Overview

We will be leaving Chicago on the morning of Thursday, September 9th and arriving in Berlin that night. Highlights of the trip include the cities of Berlin, Wittenberg, Eisleben, Leipzig, Eisenach, Erfurt, Nurenberg, Munich, Neuschwanstein, and Obergammergau. We will be returning to Chicago on Friday, September 10th. Travel arrangements will be handled through Nawas International Travel-here are a few words about the trip from Nawas: "Experience first-hand the birth of the Reformation. Visit Berlin and tour Castle Church in Wittenberg where Luther nailed his 95 Theses … see Luther’s birthplace in Eisleben … Leipzig where he debated Johann Eck … travel to Eisenach and see the Reformation Room in Wartburg Castle plus St. Severi Church in Erfurt … on to Munich, capital of Bavaria … end your trip with the highlight, the Passion Play of Obergammergau." We will also see the famous castle of Neuschwanstein, which was the model for Walt Disney's castle in Disneyland.
